Miri Trip 15~17 December 2013

Hi guys, it's been awhile. December has been a really really hectic month for me so yeah I missed out alot about Christmas...  (Tm T )

So I went to Miri for a wedding shooting. It was great. I stay at Meritz Hotel. I love the facilities over there plus it is connected to the mall. The only thing I don't like is that they doesn't have internet connection at all.

Here are the decorations at the main entrance~ ( Sorry I didn't manage to snap the whole building of the hotel. )

And I just love this mustache angel decor...They're cute~

Here are the inside interior design which I find it special... The floors are connected to each other and you can have a drink and hang out like a lil cafe or a living room.

We've been here for 3 days. The last day, our friendly client brought us around to taste the wonderful local food. It was a food frenzy moment. Then during lunch he brought us here for something special. And I just love the burgers here especially the meat. They are very juicy, tender and very filling.

Here are my colleagues...The one with the cap and the one with the blue shirt from behind~

Yum yum yum~ We ordered the best on the menu to be tasted...beef and bacon~

Here's our birthday boy, Nathan, the groom were being attacked with raw eggs all over him. It was like a war and the ending is spectacular cause his last unaware attack was from his wife. We all had a really great laugh. Such a memorable moment to be remember~

That is the last day we spend our Miri trip and it's time to say goodbye~
The places here is awesome. The town is very calm, no traffic jam, living places are huge and the cost of living is not high...This place makes me wanna immigrate...

During my flight back to Kota Kinabalu, I saw this rainbow and hurry up I snap it. It was wonderful and a very miracle feeling for me to stay awake and able to see this wonderful rainbow. Usually I get air sickness and I will force alot of sweet and sour candies into my mouth or sleep. I just don't know why during this timing I don't feel sick at all and WALLA~

My very own lovely snapshot...I just cant wait to get a personal camera of my own to snap around. Need to hurry up and save up crazily to get my hands on one dslr~
Oh and MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone~
Hope you guys enjoy this wonderful day. I'll be seeing you guys again soon~

Rigor Mortis Review 2013

Now who is a HUGE fan of Chinese Zombie a.k.a Rigor Mortis (殭屍)?

I know I am. This movie really brings back damn loads of memories I had during the 80's. Now this modern dark movie really impressed me hugely. I am a big fan of theirs since childhood. I love to spend my time watching this chinese zombie movies with my mum and now, here they are with more gore and darkness which really gives me the creeps even for a huge horror fan like me.

The cinematography was great. There is no word for me to describe but really if you wanna learn about the scenes and shots, this movie is just perfect. The storytelling and the plot is totally amazing but the ending is really hard for me to accept but now I'm ok with it already. Cause if this ends the way I want it, this movie will not be special anymore. Having a different ending for a change is not bad.

The goreness in this film for a Hong Kong movie really impress me. I don't really watch Hong Kong movies but this one is a definitely watch.

There's one part which amazed more. The characters from the 80's...They are all in it. But in a bit different situaion and background but it is still awesome cause it's been so long I don't see them at all and now they are all united for this movie. Ohhh the touching moments when I see them one by one in this awesome movie.

O-Gui Show OGui食唔晒

Now what is this all about?
An O-Gui Show?
What does 食唔晒 means?

食唔晒 is another native chinese language in Hakka which means can't finish the meal.

I don't really watch shows but this one really caught my eyes to pay attention to it. This is about Sabah local food and mostly will be speaking in Mandarin will be mixing with some Hakka or maybe more rojak a bit with other languages since Sabah is a place with alot of cultures living all together. I love speaking in multiple languages. It's fun and get to learn more wordings.

Now this is a very interesting wepisode show on Youtube. The show is still new which just created not long. The genre for this show is about discovering and comedy. Food are the main talk in this less than 10 minutes show hosted by  Katak Chua and Moses Wong.

This food show will be held around Sabah area to make introduction and to have fun. All of this shows will only be posted on Youtube.

So their 1st location is Grabbing Hands in Metro Town.

So here we have Katak and Moses, the hosts challenged each other on a Chinese chess game and Katak lose. As a punishment he have to work as a free labor to serve customers for a day. Hahaha...

Nah... Mr Katak who needs to wear an afro to serve~

Behind the scene Mr Moses are shooting~

A Great Man in Gaya Street

It's been so long for me to stop by Gaya Street. This is a street where you can find loads of wonderful stuff in a decent price and also meeting some wonderful people around. And yeah I met one, Mr Huang Poh Lo. An Indian Islam with a strong passion in Calligraphy. He draws and he writes. His Calligraphy is just wonderful and amazed me. Makes me keep on standing still watching his wonderful amazing hand dance.
Chinese, Jawi and other calligraphy...he can write it all out.

Here is Mr Huang, writing for people...

It's because I really love his handwriting so damn much, he wrote one for me...I didn't expect him to write me one. Hehe

Here is Meina~

And here is it...It's just too beautiful~

Not only his Calligraphy is great, he even have a very generous heart which earn my respect to him. There is this guy from Penang was standing beside longer than us watching Mr Huang as well. In the end he wanted a Calligraphy from Mr Huang and he wanted to pay but Mr Huang insisted not to accept his money.

As a token to meeting people having the same interests and still learning. I was so damn touched by his speech which he encourage the guy to not give up, be patient and keep on learning. Yes I almost cry out but hey, being sentimental is my middle name. I can't stand seeing and hearing such touching moment.

I felt that it was a fate to have met him and I can learn more from Mr Huang. He opened my eyes to be more positive and not to give up on dreams. Continue to be patient, keep on doing what I love.

And YES~
I WILL NOT GIVE UP~
I'll keep on fighting to what I love till the end... ^^

Introduction of Me, My Blog & My Triple K Sisters

Hello I'm Howey Kwan . I created this blog due to my interest and love in video productions, travelling, comic and arts. I love to watch movies especially horror genre. I would also go for sci-fi, supernatural, comedy + Romance (would be better than just romance or comedy), suspense, detective and etc.
Horror movies I don't really go for gore. Really disgusts me but I still watch it. Mostly I go for zombies and haunted genre. Ok enough bout this horror topic, I don't wanna scare my readers away. Haha.
And 2 of my other sisters, Irean Kong and Grace Kam have their own blog as well but different than mine.

Irean's blog everything is about beauty care. If you need some beauty tips and cheap stock you can find her from the right side of the column. There's a direct link to her blog~

While Grace, her passion is about music and dancing. She loves food, well of course so does we all but we would rather work on something concentrating our main passion and love. I love food as well but I'll let Grace do the job. Cause she is the type that, take picture 1st, then eat. HAHAHA~

You see, we've been sisters for like...1,2,3...with Irean is around 7 years...Grace I'm not sure which year but I guess about 4 years ago I knew her and get close to her. I knew Grace through Irean.

Having someone being true and loyal to you is a hard-to-get relationship...I'm glad I met them.

This is the old us I guess somewhere around 2010 during Chinese New Year at Kota Kinabalu, Fruit Monster at Lintas...

Me and Irean, graduating from our course...

And this one is at 2011, December, where we all gather in a group at Karambrunai resort~

And this pic, is the new us...Just few days ago we snap this during a mini gathering...And what a coincidence we all were wearing the same colour shirt

Ah ah~ All those young and fun days...when you start working you sacrifice all your time to earn what you need. While money on the other hand have to spend it wisely.

During this 7 years period growing with this 2 gorgeous girls is really such a wonderful experience. Our bonding is strong as well so even though we don't really get to hang out much but our conversation never stops. There's always something new and fun and interesting to be share~

Oh and BTW, I'm a Cinematographer, Video Editor and a Graphic Designer myself but I aim mostly in animations and some other drawings.

I am a watch addict as well. I love to search for wonderful brilliant designed watch. Brand will need to depend but I aim mostly on the quality and I will always be aware of the prices. I'm a jewelry addict as well and dreaming to create my own jewelry someday... Now I am still searching the right path for me to move forward...

Gravity ( 2013 ) Movie Review

Chasing time cause running out of oxygen and the dangerous material orbiting the Earth, Dr Ryan Stone ( Sandra Bullock ) and Matt Kowalski (George Clooney ) set out for a journey for safety but everything just doesn't go according to plan.

I recommend you guys to watch this movie. Really this movie was splendid directed by Alfonso Cuaron. The storyboard is fabulous with great editing skill, such intense storyline and it was masterfully directed and visually.

The way he direct the angle non stop or changing scene through jumping is what amaze me. Such amazing creativity with the scene changing. Not to mention that the CG's were great as well. I was really stunt with the fabulous view on Earth. Such incredible wonder thru the galaxy for a  disaster is really something new.

I really love to watch Sandra Bullock's actings. She's a great actress which captures my eyesight alot. The part her colleagues died really freaks me out. And the part she had to let go her colleague, OMG that part I cried like a lil girl who have just lost her precious toy. And George Clooney...Oh he is just so my guy...Way to go for being such a positive guy in this film. I really love you're character in this film. Staying positive under such stressful and life challenging event is really not easy. I salute~ Plus this movie have alot of 3D effects. So it was worth for me to watch it in 3D.

The moral of this story is really strong. When ever disaster flood on you, never ever give up. Find a way. Make your own future.

So I'm giving a full 5 stars for this amazing and creative film.

The Devilish Red Sunset

I went to Rasa Ria Shangri La for a wedding shoot. Here are the pictures I got at the Wedding Pavilion. Me and my colleague handles the shooting for the decoration part. While my boss and another colleague went on to shoot the bride and the groom's preparation.

Enjoy now~

 Here's the Pavilion

 My colleague, Jeffrey~

Seriously working without noticing me snap him from behind~  XD

Among all this is what I love the most, the devilish redish sunset which only lasts for 15 mins then gone~

If you are looking for the perfect, quiet and safe beach or lakes to hang out...

I recommend Tanjung Aru Shangri La which is near the city.

If you wanna be far far away from the city, I recommend Nexus Resort Karambrunai and Shangri La Rasa Ria Resort...

Enjoy and you are most welcome for some questions about Sabah~ ^^
